JESSICA
Executive Director

My name is Jessica and I am Executive Director of MCCS. I’m so proud of the team and program we’ve cultivated here. One of my favorite quotes is from Mr. Rogers, “Play is often talked about as if it were a relief from serious learning. But for children, play is serious learning. Play is really the work of childhood”.

DANIELLE
Program Supervisor- KDU Room

I am the Program Supervisor for the kindergarten-grade 1 room. I have worked at MCCS since 2014 and absolutely love it. I love learning through play and I have a passion for teaching everyone that you are never too old to play.

MATT
Program Supervisor- KITH Room

I have been working with school age kids since high school, and in out of school cares since I moved to Edmonton from New Brunswick in 2002! In my spare time, I love to build and ride custom bicycles with my friends.

OPAL
Kindergarten Lead

I am originally from Jamaica and I love palm trees and warm weather. I have worked at MCCS since 1998, and am the longest standing MCCS staff member. I am the primary Kinder staff, and I love watching the children grow and learn new skills.

FERDOSE
Child Care Staff

I am the oldest of 3 sisters. My life revolves around my 3 cats and making their life as comfortable and happy as possible. I recently completed my bachelor's degree. When I'm not at work, I can be found gaming, binging on Netflix, or hanging out with my friends.

DYLAN
Child Care Staff

I grew up in Red Deer and completed my Bachelor of Education at U of A. I have been working and volunteering with kids since I was in high school as a tutor, babysitter, rugby coach and TA. I enjoy building and riding custom bicycles, attending live music and theatre events, and designing and sewing clothes. I love movies & ghost stories. My hobbies include building and painting model kits.

PHUONG

I have worked at MCCS since 2018. My favorite thing to do with the kids is play board and card games. I like to try new restaurants with my friends, and my grandmother is my favorite person in the world

KIRSTEN
Child Care Staff

I have a huge interest in science and love to learn. Back home in BC we have a farm, and so I love to talk about my pets and love for animals. I like to draw, paint and create. I enjoy the outdoors and would really like to just sit outside and read all day. I grew up around the ocean and I miss the beach a lot, so summer is my favorite season.

ESSICA

I am currently working towards a degree in Media Studies at the U of A with the goal of becoming a reporter or news anchor in the future. I also used to attend MCCS as a kid! I love to read, make art and crafts, and listen to music. A fun fact about me is that I have been playing the ukulele since I was 10 years old!

REBECCA

I am an undergraduate student at the University of Alberta who loves to learn and try new things. My hobbies include hiking, playing competitive board games, doing trivia, and watching movies with my family!

ANITA

During my free time you will find me working on a new art project or watching one of my comfort sitcom shows. I also enjoy listening to music while I'm relaxing or doing a task. I am a huge Taylor Swift fan so of course I'd be listening to her albums on repeat!

My name is Rafay, and I am from B.C where I used to help my mother run her own childcare program. I love nature, good music, and helping vulnerable populations. I am studying Psychology at the UofA and I am loving everything about it!

Hello , my name is Suki. I recently completed the Early Learning and Childcare program at Norquest College. I like hiking, camping, and cooking. I also love exploring different countries!

I grew up in Calgary and am currently an undergrad at U of A studying psychology. I enjoy trying new things, playing board games with my friends, and going camping with my family. I also enjoy travelling and learning new things, and hope to visit more countries in the future

I am currently a student at the U of A. I love to read, especially in the summer sitting outside in the sun. I love spending time with my family and holidays are always my favourite because everyone is always together. I have a cat and 3 dogs, my cat is my favourite of them. Even though I have more dogs I’m more of a cat person.

RACHEL

I am currently a nursing student at the University of Alberta and am hoping (crossing my fingers!) to work in neonatology, pediatrics, or women's health in the future. Outside of MCCS, I enjoy digital scrapbooking, cafe hopping to try new matcha drinks, or training in taekwondo!
